Therapy for Parents of Medically Complex Children Los Angeles & Chicago

You give everything to your child.

Who gives to you?

When your child has complex medical needs, your entire world reorganizes around their care. Appointments. Medications. Insurance calls. Advocating in rooms where you have to fight to be heard.

You do all of it with incredible love and strength. But strength doesn't mean you're okay. And carrying this much takes a toll.

My path to this work wasn't just academic. As a parent of a child with medical needs, I know firsthand what it feels like to navigate a world of diagnoses, specialists, and uncertainty, all while still trying to show up fully for your family and yourself. That experience didn't just shape who I am. It shaped the therapist I became.

I began my academic journey studying Child and Adolescent Development with an emphasis in abnormal psychology at Cal State Northridge, where I took Child Life courses that deepened my understanding of how children and families experience illness, hospitalization, and medical stress. I went on to earn my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, and have since built a practice around the people I understand most deeply.

Together we will work through:

  • Medical Trauma- Processing the diagnoses, the hospital stays, the moments that become embedded into you.

  • Caregiver Burnout- Learning how to take care of you (without guilt), so you can show up for your child.

  • Grief & Ambiguous Loss- Mourning the life you imagined while remaining present in the life that is.

  • Relationship Support- Navigating the strain caregiving can put on partnerships, co-parenting, and family dynamics.

  • Identity- Remembering or finding who you are outside of a caregiver and creating ways to get them back.

  • Anxiety management- Learn tools to navigate the worry that has become constant in this world.
