For the teen who's always worrying — and the parents who worry right along with them.

Anxiety in Teens Looks Different Than You'd Expect It's not always panic attacks or refusing to go to school. For many teens, anxiety shows up quietly — in the perfectionism that keeps them up until 2am, the social situations they avoid, the stomachaches before every test, or the constant feeling that something bad is about to happen. Teens today are navigating enormous pressure. Academic stress, social comparison, identity questions, family changes, and a world that moves faster than ever. It makes sense that so many are struggling.

Therapy gives teens a space that's entirely their own — to say what they can't say at home, figure out what they're actually feeling, and build real tools for managing anxiety in everyday life. Sessions at JSG Therapy are conversational, not clinical. I meet teens where they are. I work with teens across California and Illinois via secure telehealth. All you need is a phone, tablet, or computer and a private space.

A Note for Parents: You know your teen better than anyone. If your gut is telling you they need support, trust that. You don't have to wait until things reach a breaking point. In our work together, I'll keep you appropriately in the loop while also protecting your teen's space to open up. That balance matters — and I take it seriously.
